Bloom Loft High Chair

While searching for pieces for my son, I have noticed that this Bloom High Chair seems to be one of the most selling baby items this year. While this super-futuristic high chair is ultra modern and won the Best Baby  & Infant Product 2009 in the Netherlands Gold Award, with a price tag of $500 it had also magically turn every diaper into a pleasant jasmine potpourri and do his homework through 1st grade.

Where I can completely understand the need to want to give your children the best of the best and provide for them what you never had as a kid, I think I can suffice for the traditional wooden highchair. A few splints neverhurt as much as this high chair hurts my wallet.

Modern Baby Furniture from Zac and Zoe

As adults we already long to decorate our homes in hip and modern furniture that will be timeless, now we can give our children that luxury in their very own rooms! The Storytime Rocker by Zac and Zoe which is Scandanavian influenced, is wide enough for you and your child to sit comfortably and comes in an twill, velvet and microsuede.

DucDuc gives me goosebumps!

On Designtology I had written about the awesome furniture collections from the company Ducduc based out of New York, which has an incredible amount of modern baby furniture selections from cribs to dressers with a huge assortment of colors and styles.

While the furniture is definitely pretty and functional, the price range is definitely not that of Ikea or Target, but you get a better quality of furniture that will definitely last for many a generation.

Check out Ducduc's website and check out their blog here. You can also ccheck them out on Facebook.
